What’s next for the Jets?
NEW YORK — The New York Jets have signed former Seattle Seahawks defensive end DeMarcus Ware to a one-year contract extension, the team announced on Tuesday.
Ware will make $4 million in the final year of his rookie contract, which was signed on Aug. 31.
Ware was the top pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, but has struggled to stay healthy.
The Jets traded him to the Seahawks for a fourth-round draft pick on June 23.
He is expected to start the season in Seattle.
