Technical Boy launches on Friday – Independent
Technical Boy has launched its third successful flight of its first generation of aerodynamic aircraft on Friday.
The aircraft, a twin-engine turboprop powered aircraft designed to test the viability of aircraft powered by water and air, lifted off from the UK’s Battersea Power Station and landed at Heathrow Airport at about 1:30pm.
The plane was powered by a mix of lithium ion and hydrogen, the company said.
The technical boy, designed to fly for two years, is the second in the company’s first generation.
The first aircraft, which is also powered by air, flew for more than two years.
The firm said the plane could take off and land vertically.
It’s the third successful test flight of the new plane, which it says will enable the company to expand its manufacturing operations in the UK and the Middle East.
